| Numerous environmental, health,
safety and corporate social responsibility standards exist, with more
coming, which will impact multinational corporations in some manner.
We closely monitor developments of these standards and the stakeholder
groups that promulgate them. Many of these standards have or will
become auditable and therefore, will likely become either (or both)
useful management tools or means by which third parties will demand
evaluation and disclosure of various activities. Global Decisions
prides itself in its expertise in “standards” and “stakeholders”
monitoring and consulting. |

| The proposed siting of a medical waste incinerator
in Southeast Asia drew critics from both sides, including a
well-funded pro-facility demonstration by the locals. Only after
a risk assessment was conducted that showed inevitable groundwater
contamination by on-site disposal of ash and high levels of
air pollution, including mercury, was the facility prohibited
from being allowed to continue to operate. ©Global Decisions, Inc. |
